Implementation of sand lizard culture model at Hon Chong
A model of sand lizard culturing has launchedat Hon Chong (My Tan, Thanh Hai Commune, Ninh Hai) since May 2012 under financial and technical support of Ninh Hai Project. This is the second one after the first implemented in My Hoa, Vinh Hai Commune in 2010. Hon Chong was known as the place with high abundance of wide sand lizard in the past.
The model is run by Hon Chong Volunteer Team. It is expected that the model will improve their income and encourage their effortsfor protection of Hon Chong Fisheries Resource RestockingSub-site.The Team was trained culturing skill, supplied seeds, foods, and new small house as the guarding station.
