The International Conference on “MARINE BIODIVERSITY OF EAST ASIA: STATUS, REGIONAL CHALLENGES AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT”

Under the aegis of the APN (Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research), the Institute of Oceanography (Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Technology) and A.V. Zhirmunsky Institute of Marine Biology (Far East Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences) has organized the International Conference on “MARINE BIODIVERSITY OF EAST ASIA: STATUS, REGIONAL CHALLENGES AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT” at the Institute of Oceanography, Nha Trang, Vietnam, on December 6-7, 2010.

There were over 70 participants, among them 15 participants from Russia, Japan and Korea. Vietnamese participants come from: Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Vietnam Administration of Sea and Islands (Ministry of Resources and Environment); Departments of Resources & Environment, Science &Technology, Culture Sport & Tourism of Khanh Hoa Province; University of Nha Trang; Research Institute for Aquaculture No. 3; Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center; Nha Trang Institute of Study and Application of Technology; Nha Trang College of Education

26 scientific reports have been presented in the Conference.
