  1. Create and manage oceanographic database of the South China Sea and adjacent waters.
  2. Apply technologies of information and remote-sensing to analyze data to serve the demands of study, management, exploitation and defense of Vietnam waters.

  3. Carry out services concerning marine data exchange.
